Cannot Download from peers with 0.5 kB/s speed

uTorrent connects to 17 peers but will only download from them if their MaxDown is greater than 0.5bB/s.

So I'm stuck downloading a 3GB file @ 20-50kB/s. How can I correct this?

Max up - 200

Global max - 2300

max peers per torrent - 300

up slots - 4

Max active torrents - 15

Max down - 10

I do not think it's these settings.

I have tried various torrent clients and the same result.

No Firewall

Windows 7

green checkmark in uTorrent

I'm hoping there is a way to force uTorrent to connect to slow peers.

Thanks in advance.

You can't.

I have tried various torrent clients and the same result.

So what makes you think it can be "fixed"??

Do you have documentation for "You can't" ?

If the program currently does not allow this, is there a parameter that can be changed?

If it allows a 0.6 connection, then why not 10 connections of 0.5 or 5kB/s?

IF a file is downloading at 5kB/s, it would seem it could double the download by adding 10 connections of 0.5kB/s. This seems like a great benefit. Do you agree?

It doesn't work like that AT ALL.

You and your client are NOT the defining factor for achievable speeds, up or down. Sure you can LIMIT it, but you CANNOT make it go any faster than the connected peers will send or request pieces.
