what startup guide?

Just downloaded utorrent. Website tells me to start the startup guide from within preferences -- no startup guide listed in the preferences. Website tells me to try control>g, no go.:mad:

The "Speed Guide" is on Windows only.

Unfortunately I understand almost none of that post. Where is the post detailing set up for Mac?

The "initial setup" is the same for ANY client and ANY operating system.

You find your download speed (speedtest.net) then you use the chart in the linked thread to find a starting point for the settings that suit your system.

Then you "tweak" them over a few days or weeks until you find the settings that give you the best results.

step #3 on that Wiki page does not exist on my Mac. Perhaps there's a Wiki for mac . . . .

Click on whatever entries and menus that are in the preferences and read the captions and labels.

You can't break anything permanently.
