Smaptastic
After a while of uptime (~2-3 hours if I'm guessing), my uTorrent is getting stuck at "Connecting to peers." A simple restart of the program fixes this temporarily, but it limits the ability to download for long streaks while I'm asleep or gone. It worked fine for years prior to this.I did recently put in a proxy using TorGuard if that could somehow be the culprit. Nothing else has changed recently.Any thoughts? Smaptastic
Thanks, I'll give that a shot.
Smaptastic
Doesn't seem to have worked. And it also doesn't seem to affect downloads that are already going. Just when it tries to acquire a new download in the queue, it'll get stuck on "Connecting to peers" and then go down the list of all remaining downloads and get stuck at the same place for them.Open to suggestions. Again, the only recent change in my system has been the addition of a proxy. I'm not sure if that would change anything.
DreadWingKnight
What type of proxy?
Andreasvb
Try remove the proxy then you know if it's that or not.
Smaptastic
So it stopped when I removed the proxy, but it happens with every proxy. I've tried 3 now. It's definitely a uTorrent problem.Any thoughts?
ciaobaby
It's definitely a uTorrent problem.Nope, simply that BitTorrent and proxy servers do not mix because the listening port cannot be forwarded through the proxy, so clients cannot receive incoming messages.
