µTorrent 1.5.1 beta 466 is out.

The webui will not work unless you have the necessary files (which is currently in closed beta). If you do have them, place webui.zip in %AppData%\uTorrent, turn on the webui in General -> Webui, specify the user and pass, then go to http://user:pass@ip:port/gui/

User:pass cannot be used in IE (because IE disabled it).

The new UPnP code works in ALL OSes.

466 is 3KB larger because it was built on a different PC where the unused code wasn't removed yet, 467 should be smaller.

Super-seeding should hopefully be working right now. please test it.

So many new features and the exe is only 15 KB bigger than the first 1.5 release - it's simply amazing, I wish other software developers would also take a similar approach and give use more efficient programs. µTorrent remains the best, thanx for all the new stuff.

"Feature: Pause in tetris" you can play tetris???

Have you changes the super-seeding option? I can see the "Initial-Seeding" option in the place of superseeding!? Is that right? intentional? And whats the difference - i don't see it mentioned in any of the changelog!

Cheers,

Jason

I'm just glad for the progressbars in main torrent view. :) Thanks again.

I wonder where are the bloatwarriors now :P As i see Ludde implemented the progressbar very cleverly, avoiding the XP component and using a nice custom ones - and he even managed to put the % inside very nicely, like it is readable whatever the value is. Congrats! :)

absolutely FANTASTiC !-)

but )-:

- DHT seems 2 be broken ;-(

- missing: remember last open Tab and Window-Size

- missing: showing [bandwidth-Limits] w/o any click in main-window ('down-under' right)

- missing: move existing & finished Torrents to a NON-'%AppData%\uTorrent'-Location

See Options -> Preferences -> Advanced:

gui.limits_in_statusbar

---------------------

BTW, biggest missing feature:

- logging error messages to a log file !

Why wasn't that in the first version of the program ??

under windows 98:

gui.compat_diropen option set ot false (default)

right-click->open containing folder - pops up 2 error messages: "runtime error 226 at 029665B3 and 0296629F "

After (if) if shows this error message - it works... most of the times... Sometimes it just open the folder (no error message) but does not select the file...

Can any other Win 98 user confirm this ?

I was thinking if there is a problem with disk cache like writing too many times per second on the disk. People are complaining about that. I am testing the latest version and I am happy with it. It's a keeper for me. Now using Azureus, BitComet and µTorrent :)).

Maybe "gui.compat_diropen" can help? Just a guess as i don't actualy understand what does it do :)

Well' date=' I tried that. Ludde probably put it in there exactly for that . With 'false' I get better results - it seems to work properly and gets right to the correct file, BUT with the pop-up error messages...
