rafi
I like the idea of the new progress bar INSIDE the done column !!If I can suggest an improvement - let the user define 2 things:* the color of the graph (it is too blue ...)* and a more sophisticated feature - let the user define both - progress thresholds as well as the color for each. the graph will change colors between thresholds - either the whole graph color, or every section/threshold will have it's own color ...Just an idea for a feature that no one else have...this can apply to the done column as well as tabbed bigger/floating bars
WebReaper
the color of the graph (it is too blue ...)Agreed. Can't we make it uTorrent-green?
Firon
I like that blue color in the done column and download bars... (which is why it's that color) It was the old Windows 98 blue before. XD

schnurlos
Perhaps blue from 0% to 99%, and green when finished 100%?

rafi
this is a subset of my suggestion of user definable thresholds and colors...

Nefarious
I keep having the trouble i had in beta 460 where it keeps just too few pieces open degrading my download, how do i restore to how it was without needing to go back to 1.5 stable?
Firon
Uh, the betas open MORE pieces than 1.5.
Nefarious
hmmm, no it doesnt, well... at least not for me, so dunno why here:ut 1.5.1beta 462(was almost the same in beta 460 anyway)ut 1.5 stableor what did u mean by MORE?
Stone
Starting fewer pieces does not mean lower speeds. Since there are enough blocks (not pieces) to request, just maybe there is not enough peers to request from.
Nefarious
well... dunno, maybe a placebo or whatever but i have this torrent, and when i open it on ut 1.5 beta462 the average speed goes down to somethen between 28-30 after an hour or so, but in 1.5stable it goes up to 40-42 with no problem, and i've been keeping an eye on this on every torrent i start, which after a time, make me waste a lot of download just by rechecking the files xD

Nero
And I've got problems with the beta, too. µ1.5=upload is stable at the limit I'd set. µ1.5.1(460/462)=upload changes from 1~2kb to 14~16kb within 10 seconds than it is stable for some seconds and crashing again to 0kb.... I've thought about this for a while but ????? So I've you know something, i would be very grateful
Switeck
Advanced settings questions:Might enablingbt.prio_first_last_piececause µTorrent v1.51 beta to try to download at least slightly more pieces at once? Also, how does bt.connect_speeddiffer fromnet.max_halfopen?Does µTorrent use the lesser of the 2 (presumeably net.max_halfopen) during the moments when connections are attempted but before any replies are received? osm0sis
one is how fast it connects to peers, the other is the maximum number of half-open connections (with no bearing on speed). so it'll connect at 1 connection per every <bt.connect_speed> to connect to <net.max_halfopen> maximum peers. correct me if i'm wrong, but that's my understanding of it.
