what does utorrent use to show codecs used in downloading media files?

I ask because I am confused

utorrent shows : xvid

torrent uploader describes his/her upload as being xvid

but mediainfo gives a divx5 verdict and this is backed by my tv which unfortunately

being one of the cheapest only plays xvid.

please help me understand any of this.

if it is like this, I am left with the only solution of not waiting for the whole download to complete, but to ask mediainfo what am i downloading cause I found that it works on partial files also. I can live with that.
