uTorrent is getting even more popular

I read in Redmond (a Microsoft mag. They have a website called redmondmag.com) a section called "Productivity On The Go". It was about portable apps. For a split second I thought of uT then said naw, its a torrent app. Why would it be here? Then on the next page there it was.

So expect even more newcomers to uTorrent in the upcoming months.

Sidenote: The Redmond mag seems ok. I thought it would be all Microsoft jock riding, but its not. They do have some articles critical of MS in there. And some of these folks work for MS.

One thing I did find funny in there was a "Best Of" awards section. (its in the same mag as the portable apps) One award was called "Best browser not IE". Firefox was 1st place, I cant remember what was second.

Why not have the award just called "Best browser"? lol

The current issue w/uTorrent & the "Best Of" awards in it :

That's the same exact impression I had with PDFs a long time ago, and I generally avoided PDFs if possible, until I found Foxit. The text quality could be better, as it seems a bit blurry, but nothing I care too much about.

Frankly, I never understood the whole view-PDFs-in-your-browser concept. You're still not working in the browser's native interface, so what's the point? Just open it in the actual program and get it over with -- the plugin still loads the application's bloated rendering engine and whatnot in the background anyway.

the advantage is when the pdf file is a big file and/or the download is slow.

when the pdf viewing inside FF is supported, you can start viewing the pdf when only the first page is downloaded.

if you use an external app for that, you have to wait for the whole file to download.

besides, I still find it more convenient to view the pdf from within my browser.

Thanks, Yenkaz
