openduck
thnx ciaobaby, have just did as you adviced.now the torrent is being downloaded.my doubt is but, in the morning, when my internet was down, and the tracker list showed "hostname not found", the downloading was still happening though it was in RED, my doubt is like do i need to worry like some "junk data was being downloaded into my torrent" when the tracker was down ??if i do a "force recheck" will this solve my problem ?? ciaobaby
As the tracker was non-existent the status WOULD BE RED because it means there is a tracker error.READ the user manual and the FAQs they ARE THERE to save you wasting YOUR TIME and ours! openduck
oh i see, so like why still the status was saying as "Downloading" even though the tracker was down??do i need to do a "force recheck" to see if any "invalid or junk data" was transferred during the tracker downtime ?? ciaobaby
No a red status means that A tracker is returning an error (therefore you cannot get any peers from that one) it does NOT mean there is a problem with anything OTHER than that particular tracker. openduck
please advice what can i do now, do i need to go ahead with a "force recheck" or can i download the rest of the torrent??
ciaobaby
If you want to re-check do so.If you don't ..... then don't.It matters not, trackers have ABSOLUTELY NOTHING AT ALL to do with the torrent payload data.
ciaobaby
By the way, .... If you spent a few minutes reading the user manual and learn something about what you are using, you wouldn't even need to ask the question.
openduck
thnx a lot ciaobaby.you neither helped me answer my doubt regarding "whether invalid data has been downloaded" nor was it any use for me to post.
