jackbivouac
I'll skip over the part where I explain how I foolishly got to where I am, but needless to say, I did not follow the migration guide like I should have. My current situation is this: All of my old torrent files are currently sitting in User/Library/Application Support/utorrent with the file extension of .torrent.imported. All have been downloaded and only need to be seeding. Completed downloads are saved in a variety of folders organized by type of media along the lines of User/Books, User/Movies, etc. I am unsure if this is a problem and if so, they can all be moved into a single folder. My directories preferences are all unchecked save for the box indicating that .torrents should be stored in the file listed above. How do I get the application to load the torrent files so as to seed, but not download, and what do I need to modify in terms of preferences or file storage to make this happen?Thank you for your help. Wintermute0
"Set the download location to the PARENT directory of the torrent payload."This seems to be critical but is NOT intuitive.
ciaobaby
If you think about it in storage system terms it is.It is the equivalent of saying, this box [containing whatever] goes in the third drawer down. You are not specifying what the box is called, just where it can be found.
