Speed problem, additional traffic is created

Hello

Since today i have a strange problem with utorrent. stable version 3.3.1

after a few minutes there is more traffic then my Internet connection could ever handle.

is this a traffic within my own network ? is there a malware producing this additional traffic ?

The download speed then drops to ridiculous 0,1 kbit.

Don't know what build was on there ... but i was told by the automatic update, that i am running the newest version. i then updated to the beta build 30062, with the same problem.

the sygate firewall shows me much more traffic than would go over the internet, so i was supposing the traffic is created within my network. a week ago it worked fine and i didn't change any settings.

as for the malware, i thought of a sabotage malware written to prevent people from using utorrent

So that would be reporting what is being used by EVERYTHING on the machine including;

automatic OS updates, Anti virus updates, ALL software updates, Web browsing, email, Etc. Etc. Etc!
