pstein
As far as I can see uTorrent is always automatically installed in C:\Users\M\AppData\Roaming\uTorrentCan I somehow select (e.g. through cmdline flag) another folder likeC:\Program Files (x86)\uTorrentin previous versions? Why has the installation folder changed?Actually I want to put uTorrent in a subfolder onto my USB Stick H:\tools\utorrent\Can I just do (=move) it? What about all the config files? When I put them into the new install folder: Does uTorrent find them (=automatically search them at first in its own installation directory)? Is there somewhere an option to tell utorrent otherwise the (new) directory of the config files?Peter
Andreasvb
Yes, it just need a settings.dat in the same folder and it will be portable. However, updating will always go to %AppData%\uTorrent regardless if portable or not.The reason is: UAC. ciaobaby
Is there somewhere an option to tell utorrent otherwise the (new) directory of the config files?A full explanation is in the user manual, encapsulated or portable install.
