TEDSON Posted September 15, 2013 Report Posted September 15, 2013 I have utorrent 3.3I have two internet connections, one LAN, other WLANuTorrent uses bandwidth from both.Connections are different ISPs.Is there a way to limit it to just the WLAN connection?
DreadWingKnight Posted September 15, 2013 Report Posted September 15, 2013 Depends on where the splitting happens. Also, 3.3 isn't current.3.3.1 is
TEDSON Posted September 15, 2013 Author Report Posted September 15, 2013 I'm not sure I understand "Splitting"There is no splitting, They are two different NICs, two different MACs, and two different IPs, subnets and external IPs.My uTorrent is current and up to date.
DreadWingKnight Posted September 15, 2013 Report Posted September 15, 2013 My uTorrent is current and up to date.If help->about gives a build number below 30,000 it's not.
ciaobaby Posted September 15, 2013 Report Posted September 15, 2013 So how is having TWO different routes NOT 'splitting'????
ciaobaby Posted September 15, 2013 Report Posted September 15, 2013 However, on a multi-homed system, set net.bind_ip to the preferred IP.
TEDSON Posted September 16, 2013 Author Report Posted September 16, 2013 Cannot find that setting anywhere. Can you tell me how to do that?I'm not very bright.
ciaobaby Posted September 16, 2013 Report Posted September 16, 2013 You could use the user manual, it saves a lot of waiting.Preferences -> Advanced
TEDSON Posted September 16, 2013 Author Report Posted September 16, 2013 Thank you very much.I tried the help file but never even knew what I was looking for. It's why I came here.
TEDSON Posted September 16, 2013 Author Report Posted September 16, 2013 Does not appear to work.I tried adding ipv4 address and default gateway, still using both adapters and seems to be preferring LAN.So I tried binding LAN but no difference. Each time I changed it I completely closed uTorrent until process no longer in task manager, then restarted.
ciaobaby Posted September 16, 2013 Report Posted September 16, 2013 What does the log show when utorrent starts?
