beomri
HI,Recently I got a new computer on which I installed the latest version of utorrent (3.3.1). On my previous computer all went fine with utorrent but now when I try to download magnet links the status of those torrents is always "connecting to peers" and the files list is empty. How do I fix this and begin to download normally? Thanks

beomri
I installed the latest version of utorrent (3.3.1).Latest version being what build??build 30017How do I fix this and begin to download normally?Use the add dialogue and wait for the metadata to load before clicking [OK]I don't think that's the problem. I had the add dialogue open for some moments and still nothing. I guess the problem is that it can't get the torrent data for some reason.Maybe you know why? DreadWingKnight
Probably because of firewalling.http://dpth.ca/dhttshoot

beomri
Regular torrent files work just fine.Only the magnet links are problematic. According to TPB the torrent has plenty of seeders and leechers. So why can't I get the torrent data? Is it something I can fix with the preferences? ciaobaby
Regular torrent files work just fine. That's because .torrent files ARE the metadataAccording to TPB the torrent has plenty of seeders and leechers.Trackers lie, the peer counts they provide are cached IDs and out of date.So why can't I get the torrent data?Because there are no connectable peers available. Is it something I can fix with the preferences? Probably not.
beomri
The problem is that it doesn't even get to the phase of finding peers. It can't get the torrent data... The info\peers\files lists are completely empty...
