VulcanTourist
If I have several active seeds, none of which have any special prioritization versus the others, and each of which have multiple peers connected, what factors - local or peer-related - determine which seed(s) use the bulk of the upstream bandwidth at any given moment? I've always been curious about what governs the ebb and flow of competing torrents (both seeds and downloads).
ciaobaby
I've always been curious about what governs the ebb and flow of competing torrents (both seeds and downloads). For downloads it is the queue number and the queue setting in Preferences -> Advanced. As seeding jobs have no queue number, it is just the aforementioned queue settings. VulcanTourist
Those queue.xxxx settings are ones I didn't know about, but the names hint they might have quite an effect. I need to investigate those. Do the settings or behavior of the leechers' clients factor into it at all? It looks like at least a couple of those Advanced settings might depend on the behavior of a leecher's client.

I need to investigate thoseThe user manual tells you about the settings.Do the settings or behavior of the leechers' clients factor into it at all?Peers NOT 'leechers', leechers download and then leave the swarm so play no part after that.Only insofar as they govern the rate at which pieces are sent to, or requested from, your client.
