Darthjedi
Hello, im having problems with Utorrent for the past few days, whenever i try to open the program it wont open, it opens the blank interface, then it loads for 10 sec and then it just says program is not responding.Tried opening it many times. Waited it for it to open up to 10 min long and nothing. The only thing that changed since the reinstal is that i can now close the program either by standard ways or over task manager (couldnt close it before only by turning off the computer)Reinstaled it twice.Didnt help at all, searched the forum a bit and couldnt find the same problem. And to note it it worked for years before.Sistem Windows 7 UltimateUtorrent version 3.3.1Antivirus Avast free antivirus 8.0.1497Error report:Description: A problem caused this program to stop interacting with Windows.Problem signature: Problem Event Name: AppHangB1 Application Name: uTorrent.exe Application Version: 3.3.1.30017 Application Timestamp: 5203ff8a Hang Signature: ee95 Hang Type: 0 OS Version: 6.1.7600.2.0.0.256.1 Locale ID: 5146 Additional Hang Signature 1: ee952719e93ef6c3a725ba5af919cc48 Additional Hang Signature 2: f1a2 Additional Hang Signature 3: f1a2abf77a490747fb175419adbc6da3 Additional Hang Signature 4: ee95 Additional Hang Signature 5: ee952719e93ef6c3a725ba5af919cc48 Additional Hang Signature 6: f1a2 Additional Hang Signature 7: f1a2abf77a490747fb175419adbc6da3Please help

dazl
Sorry for bumping an old thread, but I can't get my uTorrent to work and have the exact same problem as the OP. I was on an old version (3.1 I think) and when the program froze I thought it was a good time to upgrade to the latest version. So I installed it, but now it freezes every time I click on an element in the program. What happens:- I click the program icon (have tried Run as admin)- Program starts- Program loads torrents (there's quite a few)- Program states it's logging in the nodes and the download starts ticking (I added fresh torrent files just before my old install froze)- I click on a torrent / scroll bar / torrent filter program stops responding- I click againprogram greys out and Windows recognizes the app hasn't responded When I click 'more information on the problem' it says the program gives a AppHangB1 error. I've tried to reinstall the program: no fixI've tried to open it with no connection to the internet: the program responds like it should but when I turn the connection back on it freezes after a couple of seconds and a click on an elementI've tried disabling the ads, but this also didn't fix the problemI've tried removing some torrents (during the no connection test) but when I try to run the program I still run into the same problem. I'd rather not deinstall because then I've got to add all the torrents again (or is there a config file I could save that reloads my current torrent list?) Any thing I could test? Anybody else have this same issue? And did you find a way to resolve it?
DreadWingKnight
What internet security software do you have installed?
dazl
None, I've disabled everything. New test case: turn off the downloading torrents, and reenable the connection: no problem, upload is still working. But when I turn even only one download back on, it freezes after a couple of clicks. Meanwhile, another torrent client (qTorrent) is happily downloading away. DreadWingKnight
None, I've disabled everything. That doesn't answer my question. Most 3rd party internet security software packages don't actually disable without an uninstall.
dazl
I know what you asked and know that 3rd party software isn't playing nice as they should, so with disabled I actually meant that I uninstalled them so my problem remains unsolved
