Good Free Antivirus for Win 7 64 bit

Hello, I am new to this forum. I recently got Windows 7 64 bit with Mcafee Antivirus. Unfortunately, the Antivirus caused a lot of blue screen errors with utorrent, so after searching on google and finding out that it caused the problems, I uninstalled it and got Microsoft Security Essentials.

Now, the problem with MSE is, it isn't quite an excellent antivirus, imo, and it also lost it's avtest certificate. So was wondering about which antivirus should I take that would work well with utorrent and the mmo Star Wars the Old Republic as well.

Was thinking about Avast or something like that.

MSE is not enough protection.

Many virus applications have various versions in which the paid versions have features that you don't want anyway! The added features can cut your computer speed in HALF.

As much as I hate to admit it, I have found that the best antivirus is the one supplied by my internet provider because I don't have to pay for it, and it does not nag me to renew any subscription.

Don't forget that almost all the antivirus wares use the same database of virus signatures to search for things. The difference is how they apply those signatures. The antivirus programs rate how dangerous a file is, and then decides what to do with it. Some programs have a lot of false positives because they attack anything that is the slightest bit suspicious.
