not downloading

hi i am getting the error message

error:write to disk: access denied (on my "downloading" files)

i thought i had been blocked from the site i was on so i tried another site and got the same error?

is this my isp blocking me all of a sudden or another explanation? pls advise?

It's your computer's file permissions, not your ISP or the site you're downloading from.

where do i adjust those settings pls?

i have norton security and checked that yesterday, made sure everything said allow but beyond that i am not sure

so even though i have been using the two in unison for ages norton suddenly decides it wont allow it anymore? is this common?

First kill it with fire. And if you still have issues try downloading to another location or do a Google search on Windows file permission settings.

but what you said helped. i googled 'how to change download path' and worked out that when i was saving it to downloads there was two options, one path ended in downloads and one ended in downloads/ (blackslash) so i chose the one without the backslash and managed to download again. so thanks very much and thanks everyone who commented
