daximus Posted December 7, 2013 Report Posted December 7, 2013 hello, I am not sure what to do. I am downloading a file and Utorrent says its 100% completed, but when i try to play the files through utorrent, it won't let me saying the file is incompatible with my phone. Its an mkv file. If played from my videos file its choppy and seemingly incomplete. I have forced a recheck and that also says that its 100% complete. The downloaded file size seems to correspond with the size on the pirate bay, so i don't know where i am going wrong.
ciaobaby Posted December 7, 2013 Report Posted December 7, 2013 Problems with downloaded content is NOT within the scope of these forums.that also says that its 100% complete. Then is most definitely, absolutely NOT a uTorrent problem
daximus Posted December 8, 2013 Author Report Posted December 8, 2013 Surely all the content that i download shouldn't do this? Is that not a problem with the client?
ciaobaby Posted December 8, 2013 Report Posted December 8, 2013 Surely all the content that i download shouldn't do this?If you insist on downloading file types that the Android device has no handler application installed for, .... .... Yes it will. Is that not a problem with the client? If uTorrent checks it to 100%, the payload is complete and has downloaded in EXACTLY the same condition and state that it was when created,
lmao1 Posted March 15, 2014 Report Posted March 15, 2014 FFS, no. It just doesn't download every part and incorrectly states, that the file dl has been completed.I'm writing this now, because deleting the torrent and adding it again did the job (5 retries~) on the previous version of utapp. Now it doesn't, the app is useless at least for my device, which is Samsung Ace 2. Please do something with that. I have NO problems with downloading via browser or any other apps.
osm0sis Posted March 17, 2014 Report Posted March 17, 2014 You probably have the same problem I did. It says they're finished but you go into the torrent and it hasn't flushed to disk yet. Flushing can take awhile, especially with multiple torrents bottlenecking the storage's bandwidth. I have no problem downloading and playing any files as long as they are actually done flushing. Playing before that is as though pieces are missing, because they are; they've been downloaded but not written. If you check my thread here I've already suggested they don't show it as Finished until flushing has competed. That should avoid this confusion/issue in the future.
creamtown Posted March 27, 2014 Report Posted March 27, 2014 I used to have the same problem on my laptop, but luckily the file is not that huge. So i re-download the file and i can open it successfully. Maybe your file is corrupted, or there is something missing in the file. But maybe i am wrong about that.
