don911 Posted December 10, 2013 Report Share Posted December 10, 2013 I have an internal 3TB hard drive in my Mac Pro that I use only for data files, including uTorrent files, so no system files. I now want to switch it out for a new 4TB drive, but before I do, I just want to make sure that things will work as I have imagined. I'm going to copy over everything from the 3TB to the 4TB drive. I am then going to shut down the computer, switch the hard drives, rename the new 4TB to the same name as the old 3TB drive, and then start uTorrent. Will this work? Should I clone the hard drive instead? Could uTorrent or any other program get confused because it still recognizes that the new drive is a different one, even though it has the same name?Any insight would be greatly appreciated.Thanks!Don Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
