Steakbread Posted December 14, 2013 Report Share Posted December 14, 2013 I've just reinstalled windows 7 ultimateI have an ASUS crosshair v formula motherboardan amd 8150 cpu and 32gb rami have a ssd128gb OCZ, a 320gb which i use for downloads, a 1.5tb, and a 4tb external.Now every time i try to download a magnet link or torrent i get the Error: The Request could not be performed because of an I/O device error. WriteToDisk) I've tried all drives and even some others that i dont keep in this tower but that's all it says every time. I researched the shit out of it and have tried everything i could find. the torrent works fine on my phone and laptop so the source is good. what the hell happened Ive never seen this in my 10 years of downloading.thanks. Often caused by missing off the trailing slash of a drive specification (C: instead of C:\the torrent works fine on my phone and laptop so the source is good. Steakbread Posted December 14, 2013 Author Report Share Posted December 14, 2013 The fresh install of 3.0 25570 was all default settings C:/Downloads and I had a successful download. then I switched it back to my old directory D:/New Downloads, on a 320gb internal drive, I got the error, and when I went back to default settings I still get the error.
