Stuck at Checking

Can Someone help, my torrents start OK but the next time i'm on torrent they go to checked 0% even though over half of them where nearly half way downloaded. I'm on the newest update 3.4 beta 30378.

Don't power down your machine until uTorrent has completely closed all precesses.

Sorry to be Stupid, but Do You mean keep it on till all Download complete or until i've pressed Exit and utorrent as closed down. and how do i start the checked torrents going again.

Wait until they have completed checking.

The latter, uTorrent needs to complete the processes of flushing all downloaded pieces to disc then "saving state" and closing any open file 'handles', this takes time, and the time it takes is dependant on how many jobs your client is running.

To avoid having a 'dirty' shutdown, utorrent.exe needs to have disappeared from the process list in task manager. at that point it is safe to power down.

They have been checking now for days and getting no where.

Tried that didn't work. Have given up on them so deleted them and started again.

Stuck on Checking again, I have Pressed Exit and then waited for 5 minutes before turning PC off but it's done it again. Nearly all of my torrents are stuck on Checked % (num 0) Again.

PS:- pressed Stop to recheck them as you said, but they Do not stop, so cannot recheck them, the recheck is not available.

Is bt.graceful_shutdown set to true?

It says on the side column that i have a 130 Torrents, Downloading 59, Seeding 33, Completed 71, Active 32, Inactive 98, which to my calulation is 293 ???? but i have 38 saying Error Can't open Torrent File after last New Build 30428. and yes bt.graceful is set to true. I Wish i knew how to send you a copy of my Torrents but i never seem to be able to it.

And what settings do you have in preferences - directories?

In Put new Downloads in :

L:\Torrents

Move Completed Downloads

L:\ Completed Torrents

Location of torrents in:

C:\Users\Linda&Keith\AppData\Roaming\utorrents

Nothing in the move Slot

Automatically Load torrents from

C:\Users\Linda&Keith\Downloads

Ok this is strange. when i open appadata through directories? now torrents showing but if i open file location through desktop it is full of torrent files.

Let the checking finish, and either replace the .torrents for or remove from uTorrent the ones with errors.

Now 99% of my torrents are Stuck on checked active 0 even the ones which had started to download. I cannot get them to start or stop or recheck. I left my PC on for over 2 days but there not starting.
