ciaobaby
Don't power down your machine until uTorrent has completely closed all precesses.

ciaobaby
and how do i start the checked torrents going againWait until they have completed checking. mean keep it on till all Download complete or until i've pressed Exit and utorrent as closed down. The latter, uTorrent needs to complete the processes of flushing all downloaded pieces to disc then "saving state" and closing any open file 'handles', this takes time, and the time it takes is dependant on how many jobs your client is running. To avoid having a 'dirty' shutdown, utorrent.exe needs to have disappeared from the process list in task manager. at that point it is safe to power down.
