mikehawk
uTorrent is slowing my computer right down. I have been using uTorrent for years and this just recently started. When I have uTorrent running, the comp comes to a stand still. I check the task manager and 100% of the disk is being used and utorrent is the biggest user. I have seen a lot of topics about this on the internet but not a lot of actual solutions or answers. I have tried going into preferences and unchecking "enable cache writes" and that has done nothing. I need help. uTorrent was always great but now it's melting my hdd! ANY help is appreciated. Thank you.
rafi
"enable cache writes" and that has done nothing. Version/build? Try my settings ? Try the *next* new 3.4 RC (backup the settings first!)
burghdog
I used to have the same problem every time I would download more than 1 torrent at a time. I don't know if this will work for you or not but I went to prefrences then advanced then down to diskio.max_write_queue and changed it to 320000 and haven't had that problem since. Hope it works for you.
