ProphetZarquon Posted February 9, 2014 Report Posted February 9, 2014 I can't find any reference to this feature online except the cryptic"This option enables the participation in distributed backups"It doesn't state what is being backed up, how, where, or why!If this enables participation in some kind of DHT or cloud storage experiment, I'd probably like to turn it on, just to be helpful. I'm wary of activating it because I don't know what it is for!Does this backup the uTorrent download states & settings, or some other user data, or network data to smooth distribution and peer resolution, or allow access for some third-party backup tool, or is there an experiment for whole-system backups by torrent, or what?I've been looking online and on these forums exhaustively and I don't find any mention of what this "distributed backup" is or what it does. More info please?
