Build as a firefox plugin?

Maybe it is a further-off idea, but something to the effect of building your code as a firefox plugin, since the footprint is already so small, it could be an ideal solution for users on the go, or whatever.

Also another way to bring BitTorrent to the masses (the un-initiated) Example: users that have NO IDEA this bittorrent thing exists.

It would allow for an easy installer system, you won't have to build your own...all you'd have to do is reaarrange it to work with the mozilla extension system. Plus, it's small enough that people would be willing to use it, and that could increase your % distribution over the competition. This might be more of a good idea once you get DHT working.

Could be a neat idea....have some sort of sidebar in your web browser, or show the download status in the firefox download window...just an idea i had.

Your user interface is simple enough that it could easily fit in a window menu.

Again, just a neat thing i thought of....

As much as the active internet community prefers Firefox, the statistics from various websites that I've seen still say that Firefox is under 10%-12% of the overall users using the internet. Granted, a lot of the clients showing up as Internet Explorer are probably using modified versions, but the majority of browser users are still using Internet Explorer. Making such changes for a minority group like that isn't the most efficient use of the developers' time. In addition, making changes such as that may have to be done as a separate project from uTorrent.

NOTE: I use both Firefox 1.07 and Internet Explorer 7 beta 2, so my opinion of either browser is on virtually the same plane.
