atm999
1) When I have "resolve IP addresses" enabled, it doesn't for any of the 8 connections I have.2) All my torrents aren't uploading and all say "updating" for the tracker status, even though I can use the internet normally, and when I went back to the stable version that works.3) The beta doesn't exit properly, I have to restart before the message about two instances of utorrent stops popping up. Firon
3) it takes up to 15 seconds to close normally, if the trackers are dead, possibly longer if you have a firewall screwing about with things.
atm999
It's allowed in my firewall, I did dis- and re-enable it, and I waited 30 minutes before re-starting my computer to get it to close!
Firon
Try uninstalling your firewall.
atm999
I didn't go that far, but I disabled and closed it. The problem still exists. And in case anyone is wondering, I am using the same settings that work in the stable utorrent. I also have my uTorrent port forwarded in both my router and in my firewall (not that the firewall matters when it's off).
Firon
Disabling does not work, like we've stated many times here. Only an uninstall.
atm999
Not just disabled, but also closed, and re-booted with auto-start off so it wasn't in the memory, and couldn't have ANY effect on uTorrent.
DreadWingKnight
UNINSTALLAs much as you'd like to think it doesn't have effect when it doesn't start at startup, it still has hooks into levels of the OS that can screw programs over.
atm999
ok, I'll try that and get back to you, although I dont' like doing it.........I did it, and it halfway fixed the problem. It now will announce to the tracker when I open the client, but if I try a manual announce then it gets that same updating message forever.............[Don't double post, use edit.]
