xbob Posted May 18, 2006 Report Share Posted May 18, 2006 i use a very trusted tracker that comes from revision3.com which they use to distribute their own content, but when i am downloading i notice that hashes fail but why? how? is the peer that failed the hash and if so why? µtorrent-Guest Posted May 18, 2006 Report Share Posted May 18, 2006 the peer that sends bad data could have messed somehow with his copy of the content (unintentionly just by playing it in an application that changes some of the content) or that peer could have a problem with his network equippment that corupts the data thats sended outEdit:Or it also could be YOUR network equippment that corupts the genuine data.
