motiv8
Hello,9 out of 10 times i quit utorrent 1.5 (also 1.5.1 build 460), windows freezes completely. It inquires, 'are you sure you want to exit utorrent?', once I click OK, everything stops. This also applies for shutdown if utorrent is running, i.e. it starts closing applications, and once it reaches utorrent - full stop. This never occured using version 1.4, and it still doesn't if I run the old version. It's banned from many trackers, though, so that's not really a viable solution. I'm running XP SP2 NOR with AVG free and Core FORCE as the only noteworthy extensions - but utorrent still crashes even if none of them are running. But, then again, once every now and then I can exit utorrent without it crashing. I havn't been able to find a pattern in circumstances, it seems to be regardless of activity level on torrents, and it also seems to be independant of system resources. I've exited it without crash while using all physical memory and 100% cpu load for rendering; And it's crashed while running absolutely nothing. But like I said, approx 9 out of 10 times it freezes.. So I just try to keep it running ;-)
Firon
Disabling AV/security programs doesn't work, only uninstalling 'em.
CCFreak2K
I have the same problem. I'm on Windows XP Professional Corp. Service Pack 2. The problem seems to come from Core Force. I already posted on the Core Force forums. I think this should be considered a known problem.
