ph0rn
I used the patch to set my half open connection limit to 50, but when I'm using uTorrent, I can barely use the web at all. I just got a new router when I installed SP2, so I don't know if it's the router(Linksys WRT54GL/original firmware) or software that's causing the problem. I set the half open connection limit to 100 also, and it didn't help(I set it back to 50). Any ideas?
µtorrent-Guest
set it to 8 (default) because it has nothing to do how FAST you can DL!and choose the CRTL+G values accordign to your UL speed!
ph0rn
That's not what I'm talking about, net.max_halfopen has always been 8. I'm just talking about patching the tcpip.sys file to change the max connections from 10 to 50. But somehow I don't see that being the cause since the problem still exists no matter what value it is.I usually only upload at 10kb/s when I'm on the computer, that's well below my max, so I don't see that being the problem either. Even if the total DL and UL are low, it still F's up the web.
µtorrent-Guest
I wasn't talking about your actual DL/UL speeds but about the VALUES set acording to your UL speed.Values for max global connections, active torrents ect. ect.!And if you have choosen the right value in CTRL+G and still problems then disable DHT because than its your network equippment that is to crappy to handle the tough extra load that DHT gives it!Edit: spelling
Ultima
If disabling DHT doesn't work, try lowering the max global connections to below 200. What modem are you using?
