torrenter
I have a 5mb ADSL line. I think I hav maximized my settings. In average my dl speed is between 520 and 570 KB/s, I've never gone over 572 KB/s.Is it fair to say that I've reached my limit with 570 KB/s or is it poosible to more dl speed from a 5 mb line?I've use Bitcomet for a year or so, resently changed to utorrent
Ultima
The theoretical maximum is 640KiB/s, but that doesn't include overhead and such. Really, your maximum should lie somewhere between 590KiB/s and 600KiB/s. Honestly, 570KiB/s is an extremely good speed, and is very respectable, so I'm not sure why this goes under Speed problems =T
µtorrent-Guest
http://bittorrent.ccc.de:2342/legal torrents from "Hackers" try one of the 22C3 ones!with them you can see what is definitly the max you can get out of your equippment. if its not 640 Kibi bytes then its fair to say you have a serious speedproblem when you only get 570. Kazuaki Shimazaki
I have 6MB and my best ever is only about 624KB/s. Mathematically it is possible to get more, but for all practical purposes, you and I are pretty much maxed out AFAIK.
