laer Posted March 18, 2014 Report Share Posted March 18, 2014 Hi I don't know if this feature is already available, so I am asking: is it possible to have uTorrent send via email the current (external) IP address?This feature would be particularly useful when someone wants to use the web-based interface, accessing uTorrent remotely.Many internet providers suddenly reset the IP address of an ongoing connection, and this creates a major problem for users who access uTorrent remotely via the web UI, because they don't know the newly reset IP.Having a built-in beacon within uTorrent would solve the problem. The best way would be to have uTorrent send an email with the currect IP address (to a pre-defined email address) either periodically (e.g. every x minutes) and/or whenever the IP address is changed.
