1.5.1 Beta about UDP port

-$$$$$-

Recommended Posts

goodday, i've been using since March 8th uTorrent 1.5 (final) perfectly so i decided to

try the new 1.5.1 Beta and it works fine.

i have noticed a difference though, with the 1.5 and DHT disabled, doing a NetStat -an

i used to see only on the TCP the port i enter in uTorrent (port 50500),

now with the Beta i see also a UDP 50500 too (again with DHT disabled).

i'd like to know what's the reason for this.

also i wanna know why some countries have no flag?

for example at my friends home he use Azureus and countries like Zambia, Egypt, and some others

are seen the flag....with uTorrent the Egyptian flag for example don't appear, it only resolves the IP

name but no flag. ?! :-\

thanks for your support.

thanks for the quick reply although i didn't really get what you mean...

here's what i mean about UDP.

get uTorrent 1.5 (the official one, not beta), open it, turn off DHT completely in the Options menu,

quit uTorrent then run utorrent again.

open an MSDOS command prompt and type "netstat -an" , check it out and you'll see

the Port you entered in uTorrent ONLY in the TCP.

like this:

now use the Beta and do the same.....this time your port is on the TCP and also on the UDP.
