sabret00the
I done a quick search however i concede i may not have been throrough enough due to not knowing the best search term.however my suggestion is that i'd like to have it save to folder instead of save as file.in the current set up you get a long list of directories with the file name at the end, it looks cluttered and so you can get easily confused. if you can have it so it's just the folder names, it's be a lot clearer in my opinion. sabret00the
At the moment when you try and save a file, you're given a list like;C:\johnny\movie.aviK:\alphy\lisa\secret\johnny\movie.aviD:\My Documents\johnny\hello\save\movie.aviBut i'm suggesting;C:\johnny\K:\alphy\lisa\secret\johnny\D:\My Documents\johnny\hello\save\

Ultima
He probably wants it to always display the folder browse dialog. Like when you're downloading a multi-file torrent.
sabret00the
Apologies, i'm not the best at explaining things like this.Ok in terms of what Ultima said, i'd like to specify FOLDER instead of FILENAME because especially with long filenames it can be confusing. So instead of "save file as..." i'd like to see "save file to...". cjard
dude, i really dont understand this. Why dont you tell a complete list of everything youre clicking on in utorrent, and describe every window that appears? i'll start you off:Double click on the uTorrent desktop iconWhen the uTorrent window appears, click on _______ (you carry on from here)
trinop
i don't like this idea because1) often i want to change the filename itself2) it is still very easy to change the dir, just click the '...' button to the side of the filename box
sabret00the
take a look at thisit's a cluttered mess. surely renaming a file can be done via double clicking the file before clicking start or clicking a '...' how many people rename files as standard. Ultima
Oh, that... well, there are some people who actually rename their single-file torrents, and if that were changed, they'd all start complaining too. Slow double-clicking on the main list only renames the torrent in the list, and not the actual file. As for having to click the "..." it only pastes a path+filename into the combobox, so is that not the same...?
trinop
maybe as a compromise the drop down-list would just contain the last used foldersbecause no one would use that to reuse a file nameand then when you select a folder from the drop down list, it sticks before the filename in the boxbest of both worlds

trinop
although in the mean time i think you can use labels to accomplish at least part of what you want
