reduce line height/line gap between download list entries?

It's ugly and it reduces the number of torrent lines, that I can watch in my netbook.

How to return it back to normal (the way we used to see torrent list in uT versions prior to v3.4.1)?

This problem is so important, that it caused me to return back to v3.3.2...

(I can't return back to v3.4.0, because it had "Bandwidth Allocation" limit broken, and it loads big list of my torrents way too slow).

The problem is not the gap between the lines. the problem is the new height of the status line in the status column. It's too large. The way it looked in 3.4.0 was very nice. Now it's ugly as sin.

Just registered to this forum only to add my +1 for the too much white space between rows problem.

+ 1 for giving the option to remove the Upgrade to uTorrent Plus option as it was in previous versions!

+1

I haven't updated uTorrent from v3.3 all the time just because of this unpleasent row height.

And I would rather install an alternate software than using huge lined uTorrent.
I will keep sticking with v3.3 until it is broken, and then instal another software if this issue will still haven't solved by that time.

Registered just to add my +1 to this issue. Went back to 3.3.2 as soon as the height went crazy.

Will also jump ship at some point if it stays like this.

i dont plan on jumping ship and I grew up using utorrent and besides what is wrong with using an old version

What? Even these lines are to small for me... People want bigger, two lines per screen please. ;)

I too had to revert to last version 3.4.0 which has more normal lines, but as I remember lines where even smaller in versions 2.*.*. So it wasn't the first time they pulled that trick on us, but this time they did it in really extreme way.

Have anyone heard or read anything from developers, why do they force this ridiculously high lines (except for the touchscreen devices) and why on earth they wouldn't at least implement an advanced option to reduce line height. (like they did with those fuzzy dates thing :D ) I suspect that's not that hard to do and would make everybody satisfied. Seeing that they left it like this for months now, I'm starting to loose hope. :(

This way they are making us either use older utorrent versions as long as they work, or thinking about alternatives.

I stopped installing new updates just because of this unuserfriendly new user interface.

There could have been an option for this at least. But they don't take user opinion in account. When a project goes by ignoring major user voice, it will fall sooner or later. Example: Facebook.

I actually like the taller list items. While I'm still using both versions 2.2.1 and 3.4.2 because I can't be bothered to move the old torrents over, the 2.2.1 interface looks really cluttered to me. It obviously depends on the display's pixel density and the DPI, but after spending some time getting used to the new look, I find it a lot easier to see what's going on now. Secondary sort order, labels, and torrent search are good enough when I want to get an overview of a particular set of torrents.

That said, I wouldn't mind having to tick an option in UI Settings to get the spacier interface.

I can't believe this still hasn't been addressed. The first competing client that implements the ability to import my torrents from uTorrent is going to be my uTorrent replacement.
