manofactiontm
I'm not sure what the file resume.dat does, but eventually, it gets updated, and it halts all traffic, both outgoing and incoming. The only fix I've seen for it is to go into the %appdata%/utorrent folder, delete it, then restart utorrent. This most recently happened to me this morning. I'm running version 3.41 (build 30740). If this should be posted to the bugs section, let me know.
Firon
resume.dat contains all of the data for your loaded torrents.
manofactiontm
So why does it occasionally halt all torrent traffic (I said internet traffic in my original post, that was a mistake). Or maybe it's something else, and it just happens to manifest at the same time resume.dat gets updated? I know today I added a column in the UI, and I think that caused the resume.dat file to get updated, and once again, that halted all torrent traffic. I had to close utorrent down, delete resume.dat, and open utorrent again. The only reason i found out about deleting resume.dat is that someone on the forums said that it worked for him--and that solution works for me too. Firon
Likely you have something on your system blocking µTorrent from updating its own resume data (AV? something else?). You'll need to fix that first.
