this is the second time of trying utorrent and im still getting knowere.my light is green my port is open,zone alarm is configured, tried loads of different settings on utorrent still zilch.if a torrent has 585 seeds and 3437 peers iconnect to about 1or 2 seeds and 1 or 2 peers and thats after 10 mins.any ideas?

you should not try differetn settings, you should read what ctrl+g tells you, and use it! Then everything will get fine if your ISP is not throttleing you.

Looking at number of seeds/peers I would guess you're downloading tv torrent.My advise,use option"update tracker"more often until you get more seeds/peers connected.Those trackers connect very slow and are usualy overloaded.

Hammering away at Update Tracker is going to make the trackers even less responsive, if everyone does it... Just make sure you only do it once or twice if you're gonna do it, to avoid creating excess load.

Your problem could also be Zone Alarm -- even though you get the green light it may still be interfering with µTorrent. From what I've heard, only an uninstall of it (and using your router's firewall and/or Win XP's firewall) will help.
