Magnet links on Linux uTorrent server

Hi, 

 

I've installed uTorrent on Ubuntu following this guide: http://www.howopensource.com/2011/08/install-utorrent-in-ubuntu-fedora/

 

Almost everything is working like a charm, but I can't seem to get my magnet links working. uTorrent runs as a background process and not a normal application that I can set as default application for those links.

 

I can copy the magnet url, click on Add in the utorrent interface and paste the link, but it requires a lot more action than just clicking the link ... and I'm lazy )

With normal .torrent files, I just click the link, they automatically download to "Downloads" and utorrent picks the files up automatically and adds them to the download list. Nice and easy.

 

Any help / hints would be much appreciated!
