axeps2
Hi. I am using Bitcomet before and there is a 12 gb download 40+% completed. Want to switch to utorrent but when I tried to do so Utorrent detect it as 30+% completed instead of 40+% . So will utorrent be able to hash check and resume the file nicely without corrupting the data if I proceed with using it? Or does the drop in arnd 8 to 12 % indicate utorrent cannot resume the file? DreadWingKnight
The reason why the percentage dropped is because of the number of incomplete pieces that were dropped during hash checking. When a torrent is hash-checked, all pieces get verified.Incomplete pieces fail verification and get dropped.Additionally, there is the possibility that BitComet was not doing hash checks properly during download. Dark Shroud
Also watch out for BitComet's file extension. You just have to do a simple rename to get rid of it.
axeps2
ya. I turned offf the unique file extention in both programs. so it does not matter then? Cause i tried deleting the task and re-adding the task in bitcomet just for experiment sake and it still show the original 40+% after the initial hasing
