Help: Downloaded files definitely disappear after download!

In the last month or so i noticed that after download in utorrent, the downloaded files didnt exist. I thought it was my mind playing tricks. So kept a watch since.

Today I was downloading 3 NBA games. Just mkv files. So antivirus and malwarebytes is out of the picture. (Double checked their logs)

1. One game donwloaded and is intact.

2. Another game downloaded completely, but the file is not to be found!! Two whole GB missing. What's happening?? (After 100 percent download utorrent displays a message, File not found)

3. Currently downloading another one. This one is also not found!! Download in progress.

Since the 2nd went missing, i checked whats happening with third. The third is about 2 GB in size and 1 GB is downloaded.

When i select "Open containing folder". It takes me to my personal windows folder. If I remember it correctly, once a 'Download piece' has been completely downloaded. It flushes to disk. From this point "Open containing folder" must open the correct folder and the file is also visible. So with one 1 out of 2 GB downloaded it should show me my file and i usually can also play it, at least a few seconds!

So whats happening? Why does it download an entire file and then file does not exist?

This is a crazy bug!

Will help to know which version/build of uT you have... which OS, if you did a full search on all your disks, and if you tried with the latest beta

3.4.1 - 30888 32 bit. Win7 x64

The files are definitely not on my hard drive.

If you see my post above, I think I have even identified the problem area.

When i select "Open containing folder". It takes me to my personal windows folder. If I remember it correctly, once a 'Download piece' has been completely downloaded. It flushes to disk. From this point "Open containing folder" must open the correct folder and the file is also visible. This means the file didn't even begin flushing to disk during the download process!

Leave alone the entire file, not one piece was flushed to disk.

Note that this is a sporadic event. No clue when its gonna strike next!!
