Windows 7 Firewall - doubled entries

If they are in different locations, then it's not the same.

You can have the same file name on a program but it's not good security-wise to treat every file with same name, that would be pretty easy to exploit.

Some times you need to think logically, how/why is it doing like this?

My guess is that you have one in %Appdata%\uTorrent\ and one somewhere else (use Task Manager and open its location to prove if it's correct).

I searched my HDD for uTorrent.exe and it found two different files. I tried running both and saw that the 1st on the list is the old version 3.3.0 and the second one is the new version 3.4.1 (which I'm using now). It seems that uTorrent didn't delete the old version as usually when updated.

I checked the Inbound rules of Win7 firewall and all 4 entries are targeted at the new uTorrent (the one installed in ...AppData\Roaming... folder). None is targeted to the old uTorrent.exe. So what should I do, just delete/disable two entries from the Firewall control. And why did uTorrent create two rules (doubled)?

Thank you!
