someonewhois
Okay, so I am using BitLord and uTorrent, I would like to seed with uTorrent, but it wont let me, all my settings are as they should be, it is just that every time I try to open the torrent, all it says is finished, it will not start seeding. I have tried selecting the "Open for seeding option" I have configured my router, my firewall, my Internet security, everything works, except when I open it will not let me seed. What can I do? WebReaper
Firstly, why are you using BitLord and uTorrent? It makes no sense to use two BT clients.Secondly, why are you using BitLord? It's a trojan/spyware-infested half-brother of BitComet. Thirdly, how many peers does your torrent have? If the torrent says "finished" and there are no peers trying to leech, then you won't be able to seed, regardless of how good your setup is. What torrent/tracker are you on? If it's a well-seeded torrent on a private tracker, there's a fair chance it might be some content which nobody else wants, so is no longer downloading... someonewhois
I am trying to seed on a private torrent and am the only one, and there is a person trying to leech, and I don't want to stop using Bitlord until I have uTorrent figured completely out. WebReaper
Ah, right. If there's only one leecher, it may actually be that the person isn't picking you up as a seeder. Might be worth testing on a torrent with more peers until you've got your utorrent settings sorted.
Ultima
If you have a green light, then make sure you enabled peer.lazy_bitfield.
