brucecowen
I'm running uTorrent 1.8.4 in an iMac with OS 10.6.8. Can I just copy my whole bitorrents file to my NAS and just made changes in Preferences, Directories? Will that work? Thanks, Bruce
brucecowen
Okay. I tried it. It didn't work. Does anyone know why? Thanks, Bruce
brucecowen
I got the answer from Netgear. Use Transmission. It works fine downloading to and uploading from the NAS. Thanks, Bruce
DreadWingKnight
Okay. I tried it. It didn't work. Does anyone know why?Because directory preferences aren't retroactive to already loaded torrents. You either need to set download location, relocate, or remove and re-add after moving the files and changing the preferences. Technically, netgear's answer was wrong. NSDG6zuT5!PY
Interesting topic..... I have a USB port on my router for where I could attached a USB hard drive. Could this be identified as the storage location for the finished torrents? Would that still require an Utorrent open on my MAC to direct that location to be known for seeding?I'm probably not expressing that question accurately but hope I communicate my question. Would the USB Drive with torrent files operate standalone s a seeder (not a NAS device just an attached USB drive.)
