rashul775 Posted May 11, 2014 Report Share Posted May 11, 2014 I updated from 3.0 to the newest uTorrent version and didn't like it because of the ads. I decided to uninstall it and reinstall 3.0. Everything seemed to be fine. To my surprise, the next time I started up my computer the uTorrent setup came up. I usually set up uTorrent to automatically open upon bootup, and opening utorrent.exe apparently brought up the setup screen. I couldn't install from that (I click install and after saying "yes" to "Do you want to allow the following program to make changes to your computer?" and I'm brought back to the screen with apparently no changes. I resorted to finding the 3.0 installation exe and it worked. However, upon restarting, shutting down and starting, or even closing the uTorrent program, the setup to install the program comes up whenever I try to open uTorrent again. I have no idea what's going on. I could make do with installing every time I start up my computer but I'd obviously rather not have to keep doing that. If it matters, my PC is running Windows 8.1 64 bit. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
