In-Program Updates don't work

When I start up my beta version of uTorrent (3.4.1 build 31139 Windows) it asks me in a pop-up window if I want to update to the newest version. Then I click "Yes", and uTorrent shuts down and stays shutdown not doing anything, after about 5 minutes of waiting I become impatient and start up uTorrent again it then asks me again if I want to update uTorrent. (I have fast internet)

So yeah the update function doesn't work for me.

 

My system is Windows 8.1 Pro

I also have this bug with several stable versions of uTorrent 3.4.1 on Windows 7 x64. uTorrent is installed into "Program Files (x86)\uTorrent". New executable is written into "updates" subfolder, but not into main folder.
