al3xis
Hi everybody, This is the second time this situation happened (I think the first time was during the previous update to 3.4) and I was not able to find a solution so far, so I decided to describe my experience for you guys. Operating system: Windows 8.1Utorrent version: 3.4 to 3.4.1 So I will try to brake down the steps of how the problem happened both times:1. I went to download a torrent by pressing on its magnet link from a website.2. Utorrent was closed so when I pressed on the magnet link the program started as usual.3. Before being able to accept where the torrent would download I got the dialogue box that I can update to the newer version of 3.4.1.4. I accepted the update and utorrent restarted succesfully to the new version.5. At this point I didn't have the torrent I pressed for download in my list of torrents.6. I went back to the website and clicked on the magnet link again.7. Utorrent replied that the torrent is already in my torrents list and if I want to load the trackers to it.8. With either choice nothing happens.Even if I download the torrent file and open it with utorrent the same dialogue box appears about loading the trackers to the "existing" torrent. Downloading the same version of torrent file or clicking at the magnet link from other websites results in the same behaviour. I tried in the past to check the files in the app data/roaming/utorrent folder but the torrent file in question wasn't there.I also tried to create a backup and deleted the files like resume.dat settings.dat etc, and restarted utorrent to see if it would realize that the torrent wasn't there, but it never worked. Any ideas? In the end of the day it is not a big problem and of course I went and downloaded another version of the same video or any other other torrent without any issues, but I am curious as to why this is happening. And if there is no solution then next time this happens I will not do the update after opening a magnet link, but only after I manually start utorrent or after any torrents are already in the list. Thanks in advance!Al3xis
J-10Sai
I have utorrent 3.4.2 (build 33497) [32 bit] I was trying to save a torrent but for some reason every time I try it goes to a magnet link thing. How do I set it back to when I could either download it or save it as something in a specific folder?
