Snopex Posted May 17, 2014 Report Posted May 17, 2014 Hello uTorrent Team, I've been experiencing this problem for more than 3 months already. It's getting pretty annoying as no matter which version I try of uTorrent whether a older or a newer one, I always get 100% disk overload and sometimes even my CPU + RAM overload and get suck at 100%.Whenever I load a new torrent, my HDD percentage would jump up to 100% usage and afterwards my computer would just freeze entirely.Usually if I try to download something that's ~1024 MB, it would freeze for 2 minutes and then unfreeze but lately I'm not available to download anything at all. When I restart my PC and start uTorrent, it works fine but when I load a torrent, I get that issue every single time and yet I couldn't find a solution.Help would be highly appreciated, thanks in advance.
slalom.6693 Posted May 17, 2014 Report Posted May 17, 2014 I get that message too, but if I leave it for a while it goes away. It happens with big files, so I load them one at a timeThat's because it's writing the new files
Snopex Posted May 17, 2014 Author Report Posted May 17, 2014 That's annoying me pretty much, I can't just leave my PC and let uTorrent run while my computer has frozen completely.I have nothing else to do usually that's why while downloading something with it I'm either playing/coding but I can't run uTorrent and play/code because it freezes my PC.That has to be hot fixed.
lzver Posted May 18, 2014 Report Posted May 18, 2014 I just downloaded and purchased uTorrentPlus 3.4.1 and I'm frustrated with this issue. Sounds like this has been an ongoing problem for several versions. I'm seriously considering asking for my money back and going with another program.

Does it happen when you use a faster HD too?Have you tested this with my settings.dat too (below)? ....
