chilley Posted May 25, 2006 Report Posted May 25, 2006 First the set up....yes it's Mininova. Yes I understand the /tor/ bug on their site.I've been using one of the sites that substitutes /get/ for /tor/. Recently that quit working. It's not that it doesn't substitute /get/ for /tor/. It's just that Utorrent no longer recognizes it at all. I get blank pages in the update. Now I can go to mininova.org/rss.xml and get it to load, but of course I can't download.I then saved the mininova xml page and tried to load it, and that too gives me nothing. Now I'd assume that when I save mininova.org/rss.xml, the page I save is the same one that's in my browser. If true, then why would utorrent be able to parse the one off the web, but not that page when it's on my desktop?I'm hoping to find a workaround until a real solution is found, but means I need to be able to work with a local file(s).Sorry if this is confusing, but I've had this problem for several weeks, and I need to figure out a solution.Oh I'm using 1.5, but I tried 1.5.1 (latest build) and it made no difference. Thanks

chilley Posted May 25, 2006 Author Report Posted May 25, 2006 Neither of those work in anymore. One of them doesn't substitute (penguin, I think), and hasn't for at least a month, while the x70 hasn't worked for most of this month.
chilley Posted May 26, 2006 Author Report Posted May 26, 2006 Doesn't work for me.Here's the URL that it's spitting out : http://www.x7o.net/rss/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.mininova.org%2Frss.xml&find=%2Ftor%2F&replace=%2Fget%2F&command=ReplaceuTorrent shows nothing for that stream.removed the slashes, just incase that through off the parser and got this urlhttp://www.x7o.net/rss/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.mininova.org%2Frss.xml&find=tor&replace=get&command=Replaceagain nothing. Finally, I went to http://www.x7o.net/rss/?url=http://www.mininova.org/rss.xml&find=tor&replace=get&command=ReplaceAgain nada. Please note, that i"m not saying the URLs don't return an XML file or that the /tor/ is not replaced with /get/....I'm saying uTorrent is not recognizing the file.
caspertone2003 Posted May 26, 2006 Report Posted May 26, 2006 I experience the same behaviour!URL work from internet explorer but mtorrent is showing a blank box!CTone
chilley Posted May 26, 2006 Author Report Posted May 26, 2006 1. Is x70.net working for anyone inside of uTorrent at this point? If so, please upload the exact URL so I can test it.2. Is anyone able to download an rss.xml file to their computer and load that into uTorrent? If so, what browser are you saving it with and please send an URL to the XML file. Thanks
Firon Posted May 26, 2006 Report Posted May 26, 2006 You are right, it doesn't seem to be working. Eh.
caspertone2003 Posted June 4, 2006 Report Posted June 4, 2006 Today it started suddenly to work again!
Firon Posted June 4, 2006 Report Posted June 4, 2006 Yeah, the developer of it and I have been working on it, fixed a lot of things.
chilley Posted June 4, 2006 Author Report Posted June 4, 2006 Thanks. I see that the link part changed, which I suspect was a problem. I think the pub field was missing as well. Now both x70 and penguin are working correctly (and penguin was broken long before x70.
Firon Posted June 4, 2006 Report Posted June 4, 2006 The problem that prevented it from working at all was <rss version='2.0'>It's now <rss version="2.0">
