PCKid32
I've narrowed it down by closing everything, checking all hardware, unloading some third party apps. If I don't run uTorrent it simply doesn't crash. But if I run it it will crash my Mac and reboot with an error report every time. There is no set time for it to crash but it will crash at one point during the day or night. Last night I got up at 4am and saw that it had crashed at some point and had crashed twice when I was downloading during the day. This has only started happening when I installed Mavericks. I'm now on the latest 10.9.3 but it did it from when Mavericks was released. I have a late 2009 iMac 27", 8GB RAM.
paulphoto
Hi, did you get to the bottom of this issue as my Mac Pro 1.1 running Lion has started suffering from uTorrent locking up, you cannot force quit as that too jams and every other program running locks up one by one also. Resulting in a Forced shutdown and reboot!!I dont use uTorrent a huge amount so not sure when the problem started but certainly this last few uses I have witnessed it. Any ideas anyone? aenaon
bump. This has been happening as described above to my mac as well, since 3 days ago. For some reason, at a random point in time, the whole system hangs. Suspected that maybe it was the drive the files in utorrent reside, but it is not. After a lot of trial an error, I'm convinced that the utorrent app is brining the whole system down. Really odd issue, but a compete deal breaker. Oh well, back to Transmission....
