utorrentuser0
Hi, Is there any way to limit only the upload rate for local peers? With 'Limit local peer bandwidth' checked, I usually used to have downloads in KBps range. So, I thought I'd try unchecking it, and download very quickly went into the MBps range. The problem, though, is that, in about a minute, upload went up quickly and started using up most of my bandwidth (4.8 MBps upload compared to 500 kBps download). I'm not charged for upload by my ISP, but I can't stand having uploads hog my bandwidth. I understand from the uTorrent help file that unchecking this box means that limits won't be applied to 'local peers', but (at the risk of sounding like a leecher) it would be nice if there were some way to set a global setting to control the ratio of bandwidth used for download/upload (including the local peers scenario). Is there some way to specify a global download/upload ratio, or some other advanced setting that would allow me to set only an upload limit (and not a download limit) to local peers? I have attached screenshots of the 'Bandwidth', 'Connection' and 'BitTorrent' screens. Let me know if any other screenshot is required. I'm using version 3.3.2, build 30260 (32-bit) Any help would be appreciated. TIA.
