efemero Posted May 19, 2014 Report Posted May 19, 2014 Dear friends I use microTorrent 3.4; I did the automatic settings with configuration guide; My net connection is ADSL with a fairly constant average rate. 14.40 Mbps Download and 1.11 Mbps Upload; I have had Downloads with 1,2MBps speeds; Upload speed has never been above 50 Kbps but lately has been in the order of 1,0KBps and less; (even with 6 seeds/ 7 in swarm and 0peers/ 1 in swarm; or 50 seeds/ 50 in swarm and 11 peers/ 8 in swarm). Why is the Upload speed so low and what can I do to improve it? QueueingMax. n. of active torrents = 6Max. n. of active downloads = 5Min. ratio (%) = 150Min. seeding time (min) = 0Min. n. of available seeds = 0 BandwidthMax. Upload rate (KB/s) = 90Max. download rate (KB/s) = 0Apply rate limit to uTP connections = OKGlobal max. n. of connections = 450Max. n. of connected peers per torrent = 100N. of upload slots per torrent = 6Use additional upload slots if upload speed < 90% = OK
DreadWingKnight Posted May 19, 2014 Report Posted May 19, 2014 Your numbers indicate that you're trying to seed on already overseeded torrents. Expecting high upload speeds when there's low demand for your upload speed is unrealistic.

I've been having so big differences, for example: Torrente with 46 seeds and 19 peers: download average = 950 KB/s and Upload = 42 KB/s; Torrente with 45 seeds and 14 peers; download = 1.2 MB/s and Upload = 6.7 KB/s; Torrente with 58 seeds and 13 peers; download = 1.1 MB/s and Upload = 18.8 KB/s; Torrent with 50 seeds and 11 peers; download = 1.2 MB/s and Upload = 1.8 KB/s. Why such a difference?
