DelitaHeiral
Hi, I've been using uTorrent for almost a year now so I have a pretty big collection of files.A couple of days ago uTorrent "lost" the pathways to the files even though they were never changed and still are where it thought they were. I have opened them and they work fine. After force rechecking it to "renotice" the files over night, it now wants to redownload almost everything that I had completed over a month ago, except now all those "Errored" downloads are queud again with 0peers/0seeds. That's alot of files haha! >_< I can't remember the specific error, it was something like 'Error: Could not find download location".So my question now is: How do I tell uTorrent the save path to the completed files, instead of it being queud to download a new one? I am hoping there is a simple solution and I'm just too tech illiterate to have found it. I don't want to have to sort through my library and redownload anything cause it's a great deal of bandwidth. Plus I like using uTorrent to organize downloads as it finds them much faster than me searching my drive using Spotlight, and some of the files are very large and used to maintain a good seed ratio. You can imagine how bad it would be to have to redownload all of them...Edit: The "set download location" just wants to download a new location instead of letting me select the already downloaded copy. CphD
Not sure if this will help, but depending on d/l location folder structure I've found you often need to point to the parent d/l folder rather than the like named subfolder to make Force Re-Check recognize its existence to prevent re-downloading. It's not 100% reliable but may be worth a try.
DelitaHeiral
Hmm I'll give it a shot but most of them go straight to an external drive without a folder.Edit: When I do try to save it to the same location as the existing file, it tells me that it wants to overwrite the previously completed file. This is a bummer =(.
DreadWingKnight
Because of the generic-ness of the message, you might want to actually try the overwrite. It's a property of the dialog used rather than of what uTorrent is actually going to do.
